Oscar Wilde

Since October is halloween month, I'll keep posting halloween pics from Disney (of course).
Well, I read about Oscar Wilde, little did I know that he did the story of Dorain Gray. I loved that movie. i never read the book, I'm sure there is more in the book then the movie but none the less, I loved the movie.
I must say, that Wilde had a colorful life & was a colorful person. In today's world we would call him bi-sexual with preference to men. Even back before Roman times being bi-sexual or gay existed. So, when I read about someone from the 1800's being this way it does not shock me. This has been in the world longer then we have. I do not go so far as judging anyone on those basis. I am a person who likes a realtionship with one man, what others do is up to them.
Wilde was also a free thinker who's truthful quotes live long and still ring. He was born way before his time and I don't think the world was ready for him.
So, I will leave you with one of his quotes:
"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all."

Wow--that quote is profound. I loved the movie and the book. Dorian Grey is a profoundly striking book. There is so much wisdom to be found within. The book was really good.

Beth, I should really look into getting the book. He was a very knowledgeable person.

I keep triple spacing my posts but it continues to blend all together (sigh) don't know why.

I guess I need to proof read my posts after they post :) I had shared somethings & then decided to delete it but I missed some of it. I got it deleted now (lol)
