Two Icons Gone

Michael Jackson's song "Black and White" will always be a favorite of mine, as well as the video. It is sad to know that the genius will never make another song for us. We were looking forward to his concert debut, we were hoping he had new material and our ears and soul would be nourished once more by his magic. He will be missed.

My heart goes out to his children, they knew the man as no one will. I know they will miss him sorely, he was their world. I just hope whoever gets them does not separate them and gives them plenty of love.

Farrah Fawcett lost her fight against cancer. I enjoyed the show "Charlie's Angels", I liked all three actresses. I loved Farrah's hairstyle and had my hair cut the same. She entertained us and showed the world she could act.

Both these people shared a part of themselves with us and for that I am thankful.

It is hard to believe they are both gone. I, too had my hair cut like Farrah's, and was told more than once I looked like her--which I did not. The only thing similar was my head of thick blonde hair, and a lot of teeth. Not the same smile.

No one could smile like Farrah.

I have mixed feelings about Michael Jackson. I loved the boy he was. I'm not sure about the man he became. It is a true tragedy, that is for sure--and I do feel for those children. I cannot imagine what it would be like for them right now.

Beth, I can see the likeness between you and Farrah.
Michael Jackson's kids mostly likely are feeling very lonely and a little confused along with shock. I'm glad his mother filed for custody of them. My heart hurts for them, life as they knew it, is no more.

Yeah--and in fact, I wonder if their life might not be a little better. I could not imagine having a dad like Michael Jackson--especially with all the people clamoring for him and them. Poor things.

I have a little surprise for you! I have awarded you the Nemo Award. You can read about yourself, and pick up the award at http://unexpectedspotsofbeauty.blogspot.com/

(grin) Have a wonderful day!
